How to build big arms

Building muscular arms isn’t as difficult as it may seem. It’s simply a matter of understanding how your body works and what it needs to develop muscle. It’s also a question of knowing which exercises can help you develop big arms fast and what diet you should follow to promote muscle growth.

One of the most important factors when it comes to building muscle mass is nutrition. Without proper nutrition, all of your training will go to waste. You see, your muscles need protein to recover from long session of intense exercise.

Your muscles go under a lot of stress during your training sessions and they need to heal in order to grow. Your body needs protein to repair and maintain its muscle mass, so if you combine a low protein diet with intense exercise, you might actually weaken your muscles instead of strengthening them.

This is why you should have a diet rich in protein when you’re following a strength training routine. The recommended daily amount of protein for bodybuilders is between 1.7 and 1.8 g of protein per kilogram of body weight. Anything lower than that will affect your muscle mass.

There is a variety of different exercises you can do to get big arms. If you want to train your biceps, the stand up bicep curl is a great exercise to start with. Just stand with your feet a shoulder-width apart and grab a barbell with an underhanded grip. Let your arms fall down all the way to your knees and curl the barbell up to your torso.  It’s better to do fewer reps with more weight than to do more reps with a lower weight if you want to develop muscle mass.

To get big arms, you also need to train your triceps. Push-ups are a great way to work your triceps. As a matter of fact, any exercise that requires pushing is great for triceps. The close grip bench press is one of the most efficient exercises for developing triceps you can do.

To allow your muscles to repair and grow, you have to give them some rest. Overworking your muscles will do more harm than good. This is why you should leave a 2 to 3 day lapse between your arm workouts if you want to get the best results possible.

So if you want to build big arms, remember to think about your nutrition, give your muscles some rest between sessions so they can grow and do the couple of exercises I’ve given you in this article. This way, you should be able to show off that beach body of yours in no time.
